1 small pear, thinly sliced

1/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
5.
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or goat cheese
6.
A handful of mixed greens (arugula or spinach)
7.
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
8.
1 tablespoon olive oil (for drizzling)
For the Balsamic Glaze:
1.
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2.
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

Step 1: Make the Balsamic Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens into a syrupy glaze. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Step 2: Prepare the Sub Rolls
Slice the sub rolls or baguettes lengthwise. Optionally, toast them lightly in the oven for a crispier texture.
Step 3: Assemble the Sub
On each roll, layer the mixed greens, thin slices of pear, toasted walnuts, and crumbled cheese. Add the thinly sliced smoked duck breast on top of the salad ingredients.
